How would you find the percentage savings over the cost for the savings?
I’m joining a discount clubs reward program.
ie; They promised me a $300 savings over a $100 monthly bill can you please tell me how much of a percentage am I saving?
the savings will be $300 (monthly) and the cost will be $100 monthly; therefore you do 300/100 which equals 300%.
however, it is probably best to look at it from the Net Savings perspective -> $300 – $100
In this case your net savings % = (300 – 100)/100 = 200%
